Can I get a little "Pomp and Circumstance?"

And now, for your viewing pleasure, I will post far too many photos of Evie's kindergarten graduation. I can't help it! It's all so dang CUTE! See for yourself ...

Here's the star of the day all ready to catch the bus to school. I think she looks about three years older than she did last week.

The program started with a slide show. This one is of Evie's class all dressed up for Gandhi Jayanti.

I love this one of Evie and her friends. From left to right they're Yurika (from Japan), Charlotte (Australia), Evie, Lulu (America), and Edom (Turkey).

The ceremony was really cute. The kids marched in to "Pomp and Circumstance" and then sang some songs and recited a poem about what they've learned in kindergarten. Life, as you know, is serious business. I don't think Evie cracked a smile through the entire program ...

... except while singing, of course!

A few words of wisdom from the elementary school principal, Kevin Hall ...

At one point, the teachers read through a list of professions as the kids stood up to show what they want to be when they grow up. Evie's apparently going to be an artist ...

The kids sang "The World is a Rainbow," a song that Evie's been practicing all year (and always at the top of her lungs). As they sang they put their arms around each other and swayed to the music. Yes, OK, I cried. So what?

The big moment! Here's Evie receiving her diploma from Mr. Hall.

Marching with her class to be presented as the graduating kindergarten class of 2013!

The kids marched out to "Pomp and Circumstance." I love the way they did the procession. To come in, a student came from each side of the stage, met in the middle, and then held hands as they walked up onto the risers. To leave, they did the same thing in reverse. Adorable.

And there she goes ... the new first-grader!

We met back in the classroom for a little party and pictures. Here's Evie all ready to get her friends to sign her yearbook.

With Irsyad and Lukas ...

The Three Musketeers: Lulu, Evie, Charlotte ...

Evie and the fabulous Ms. Kristina, who knows EVERYTHING (according to Evie) ...

Mom and Evie ...

And how's this for adorable? This is Evie's friend Paul, the one who saw me at the Crocodile Bank and immediately demanded in the thickest little French accent: "But where is Evieeeeeee?"

FYI: Paul made me take this picture three times before he was satisfied that everyone was looking their best.

Presenting KG-C!

One of the moms wanted to take the kids outside and have them throw their hats. Only a few of the kids even understood what she was asking them to do. It was pretty funny!

I admit to being an emotional wreck! I was bawling as soon as they started the slide show. Not only is my baby girl growing up, but we're leaving Chennai in less than four days. I can't stand it!
