Next stop on our Kerala tour was a little slice of paradise called Kochi (also known as Cochin), which was the hub of India's spice trade for centuries. I loved the laid-back, historic feel of the old city, where we stayed in another of Neemrana's incredible properties, the 17th century Tower House.
If you go to that link, you'll see a photo of the suite we stayed in, the Noronha. It was gigantic! The site's calling those single beds, but we had two people in each bed no problem and then put Johnny on the window seat. The bathroom was enormous, too.

We spent our first afternoon in Kochi taking a little break from touring. John and the kids hung out at the pool while I explored the garden.
Tower House was a lighthouse and support buildings back in the 17th century.

Johnny quickly determined that the place was haunted, claiming that the angels kept changing position. Something supernatural was clearly at work ...
One of the best things about the hotel was its location right in the center of historic Fort Cochin. It faced a plaza and the beach, where we found fish mongers ...
... the famous Chinese-style fishing nets ...
... souvenir vendors and, naturally, friendly cows. This one actually followed us around for a while. It was kind of weird ...
Samuel loved this street art ...
