Bheeeeeeeeeeeem!

Get ready, folks ... Samuel and Evie are about to meet that darling of Dholakpur, that Hindu hero, that lover of laddoos, that champion of children throughout India and beyond ... Chhota Bheem!

Samuel is obsessed with this animated series (and here) as only a 3-year-old can be, and Evie is only slightly less enamored. They'll even watch it in Hindi if it doesn't happen to be on the English-language channels.

Our setting is the barely controlled chaos that is City Centre Mall's Landmark Bookstore ...

And here is the man (er ... boy) himself! Chhota Bheem, complete with super strength, super smarts and super Hindu piety!

This woman's face cracks me up! It's for the kids, lady! I think I know where her excitement comes from, though. Watching Samuel dance to the music, get more and more excited as we moved up the line, and wave and yell at Chhota Bheem was giving me a serious case of perma-grin.

No smiles at the big moment. I think Samuel was just too overwhelmed by the awesomeness of it all. Johnny looks like he wants to get this over with so he can go buy some books.

Samuel sneaks a peek up at his Indian hero ...

How does it feel to have met the man himself? Super cool!!

All the way home in the car: "I touched Chhota Bheem, Mom. Hey! I'm Chhota Bheem. Give me some laddoos! I saw Chhota Bheem, Mom. Mom, did I touch Chhota Bheem? Bheeeeeeeeem!"
